Calliope
Productions represent several innovative early music groups, all of whom
have been praised for their innovative approaches to presentation and the ease
with which they convey music to an audience.
A
number of the groups work with actors, writers and dancers to combine music with
dramatic presentation and spoken word.

This
upbeat 8-piece medieval group having been converting people up and down the
country to their unique brand of medieval music. They were finalists in the 2001
International Early Music Young Artists Competition, have made several
appearances on BBC Radio 4’s Loose
Ends and have been featured on Radio

Prize-winning
poet Jenny Lewis teams up Clare
Norburn (voice) and Leah Stuttard (harp) for a unique performance of poems which
were inspired by the 12th century troubadours of Southern France,
combined with the haunting songs of the troubadours themselves.
